Current Challenges with “Emergency”
Kangana’s previous project, Emergency, has faced delays and complications. Originally slated for release on September 6, the film, which Kangana directed and starred in, has been impacted by controversies surrounding its politically sensitive content. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has recommended cuts, casting uncertainty over the film’s release date. Kangana remains committed to presenting the film in its original form, despite these setbacks.
Emergency explores the tumultuous 21-month period of the Indian Emergency under former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film features a robust ensemble cast, including Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik, each playing significant roles in the narrative.
